Descripton: Ecological characterization of oceanic areas with significant ecological value, identifying key conservation sites and providing scientific support for the planning and management of current and future Marine Protected Areas (AMPO).

This Project, promoted by IPMA, supports Portugal’s commitment to the 30x30 target - protect 30% of coastal and marine areas by 2030.

The expected results are the delineation of new MPA, development of management and monitoring plans for the Madeira-Tore and adjacent seamounts MPA
