2022-10-14 (IPMA)
IPMA participated in a joint initiative with ANPROMIS (corn), ANPOC (grassy cereals), COTARROZ (rice) and COTR (irrigation), to respond to the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation's challenge of valuing water in the agri-food sector. The objective is to apply for the contest to support the demonstration in the management of irrigation water approved through the aQuacer project.
10 training and knowledge transfer actions were carried out, eminently practical, which involved around 600 participants.
IPMA's participation proved to be extremely important, addressing topics such as climate change and weather forecasts, having also presented essential products and tools for the national agricultural sector that are still little used by Portuguese farmers.
We provide below the link to the video that resulted from this project, in which several important testimonies were collected during all 10 sessions.
The aQuacer Project aims at the efficient use of water in the grain sector.
