Operator Cyberattack
2022-02-08 (IPMA)
Due to Vodafone cyberattack suffered yesterday, February 7, 2022, some IPMA services are being affected by the communications service failure. This situation is having an impact on IPMA´s observation network, and it is not possible to deliver real-time data.
In terms of meteorological information related to the national civil protection system, the situation is safeguarded by a dedicated network (redundancy system). However, telephone communication with IPMA is now conditioned.
The different areas contingency plans were activated in order to guarantee systems operability and ensure minimum services, until services are fully restaured by the operator.
