ICES Meeting Algés

The 12th edition of the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) Workshop on the Development of Quantitative Assessment Methodologies based on Life-history traits, exploitation characteristics, and other relevant parameters for data-limited stocks (WKLIFE XII) was held at IPMA-Algés from October the 16th to 20th, 2023.
This workshop aimed to present and test new methodologies for assessing data limited fish stocks (ICES categories 2-6). It included discussion of key issues previously raised by the ICES community when applying methods developed by WKLIFE for use in ICES advice.
The meeting was attended by around 40 participants, representing scientific institutions from 9 different countries, including Portugal, Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Egypt and Japan.
