All over Europe, the 29th of September is dedicated to the celebration of the European Researchers Night – an event in which researchers from different fields, share experiences and knowledge with citizens of all ages, as well as with other researchers, investors and politicians.
In Lisbon, from 6 p.m. to 12 p.m., in the circuit made by two main points, the National Museum of Natural History and Science and the Principe Real Garden, more than 100 activities will be held: science experiments and demonstrations, workshops, hand-on activities, quizzes and puzzle games, exhibitions, informal talks, a debate and street animation. IPMA will be one of the participating Institutes.
As highlights it must be emphasized hands on activities about health and wellness, biodiversity, society, technology and history, as well astronomy and planetarium sessions, the oral informal presentation of success case studies financed by the European Commission and the debate on ‘Ethic, Science and Economy’, to raise public awareness towards Responsible Research and Innovation principles, fostering sustainable research and meaningful science developments for the citizen – in other words: ‘science in everyday life’.
